The Clay Warehouse
About The Clay Warehouse
This studio offers supplies, workshops and kiln firing for artists working in Pottery & Ceramics.
This studio offers supplies, workshops and kiln firing for artists working in Pottery & Ceramics. It operates as a studio and a retail supply space, bringing together a place to work and a place to obtain materials for that work. Sessions are held for artists who want to learn together in a shared setting. That firing service is available for artists who need firing support for their work. Collaboration among artists is supported and encouraged as they advance their craft in that field, with the studio providing a setting where artists can work alongside others. Artists can develop new techniques through that shared work, using workshops and studio time to try different approaches to making. Guidance is provided as artists build their businesses, linking the development of creative practice with the practical work of setting up and running a business. Community engagement is part of the purpose, with an aim to encourage support for and participation in creative arts by people beyond the studio itself. It is located in the Mary Hill neighbourhood of Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, at 1770 McLean Ave #10. The location places that combined space within that neighbourhood, serving artists who visit The Clay Warehouse Inc. and welcoming community members who want to take part.
