Offering a place to eat, have a beverage, and watch sport, a neighbourhood pub is located in Downtown Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. At 2342 Elgin Ave, Samz Neighbourhood Pub serves people in the downtown area who are looking for a setting for a meal, a meeting with friends, or time spent following a sporting event. The focus is on three activities brought together in one location: grabbing a bite to eat, meeting others over a drink, and catching the latest sporting event with other patrons in the room. The pub is set up for people who want to combine food and drink with company and entertainment. A visit can centre on eating, on meeting friends, or on watching sport, and those options can be combined during the same visit. That combination makes the pub suitable for small groups meeting together, for neighbours stopping in for a bite, and for sports fans who prefer to follow an event in a shared public setting rather than alone. The downtown location places the pub in the centre of the neighbourhood it serves, and the neighbourhood character is reflected in its local focus. As a pub, it provides a setting for drinks alongside food. Patrons can arrive for a meal and stay to watch sport, or arrive to meet others and order something to eat while they are there. The emphasis remains on simple, everyday use: eating, drinking, and watching sport in a neighbourhood spot in Port Coquitlam.
